Fantasia was founded on a straightforward conviction: a child learning music deserves the same standard of teaching as a student at a conservatorium.

Most children who give up music do not give up for lack of ability. They give up because the teaching did not fit them. We keep a faculty deep enough that every student is matched to the right teacher rather than the available one, and that teacher builds a programme around them.

Every teacher holds a performance or pedagogy degree from a leading conservatorium, and most still perform. Instrumental lessons are one to one; theory is taught in small groups. We are an accredited AMEB examination venue seven minutes from Chatswood Station, so students sit their examinations in the rooms they already practise in.

Whether your child is pre school aged or you are an adult returning to an instrument you set down years ago, the approach is the same: find the right teacher, set a goal worth reaching, and do the work.
